Born and raised in Southern California, Gatena is a graduate of University of California, Davis and the University of Southern California, where he was a member of the USC Trojans football team. Gatena has been recognized as an entrepreneur. In 2009, he founded REP Interactive, a full-service video firm meant to bridge the gap between YouTube and television by giving companies the power to produce “Hollywood quality video.” In 2013, Gatena partnered with Alan Purwin to found VideoFort.
